About Krav Maga

Krav Maga means "close combat" in Hebrew and is a modern self-defense system built on elements from boxing, wrestling, judo, and karate. The system was originally developed for the Israeli military but is today taught to both civilians and professionals all over the world.

The training is based on realistic situations and focuses on simple, effective techniques that can be used under pressure. You learn to defend yourself against both armed and unarmed attackers, while developing your situational awareness, stress management, and ability to make quick decisions.

The instruction covers strikes, kicks, grabs, and ground fighting, as well as defending against and disarming various weapons. Beyond that, Krav Maga provides all-round training that strengthens fitness, strength, coordination, and reaction speed.

At Krav Maga Amager, you learn not only effective self-defense techniques, but also how to prevent and avoid dangerous situations through awareness, assessment, and quick action. The goal is to give you the skills and confidence needed to protect yourself and others should the situation demand it.
